My baby born across the sea, my baby from the start
God saw your soul then knit your form and placed you in my heart
He knew you all along, and yet I did not know
Just how a child born miles away could make our family grow
Now satan thought he'd won when he destroyed your baby life
He thought the wicked web he'd spun would keep you gripped in strife
But you were chosen long ago before your day of birth
The Lord protected you and saw you through because He knew your worth
Can I tell you this change will be easy? No...not for you and not for me
Because sin always has reprocussions and the pain can run very deep
But my love for the Lord and for you is greater than any fear
And I'll walk through this valley of darkness with you 'til the light of the Lord becomes clear
And a day will come in your future when God's plan will come into view
And the broken pieces that shattered your world will come together and make sense to you
Because God does not make mistakes and He is the one in control
And it's only through His adoption of us that each one becomes truly whole
